The B.E.C.O.N. program prides itself on providing quality hands-on training that emphasizes cost effective best practices, relativity and up-to-date information for all its participants.  With this in mind, our staff deliberated for months on whether or not to have a Train-the-Trainer B.E.C.O.N. course and it became apparent we had to become very selective in who would attend that would mirror the delivery of the B.E.C.O.N. course material and present it in a fashion that kept B.E.C.O.N. in good standing.  On Sept. 27th and 28th, four participants certified as B.E.C.O.N. Instructors.  Prior to attending, a thorough check on the attendees was conducted to ensure that each person carried a current instructor certification, was currently teaching and were in good standing (had good reviews).  Throughout the two day course, each attendee was evaluated and had to conduct a “Teach-Back” to the audience on one of the five B.E.C.O.N. topics.  Each participant was graded and evaluated by the Lead Instructor, Nathan Harmon, as well as their peers.  It is with great pride and confidence that I welcome our four new B.E.C.O.N. Instructors to our Emergency Preparedness family.  Below are the newly certified B.E.C.O.N. Instructors.  From left to right: Christopher “CJ” Jones, Frank Baker, Lead Instructor- Nathan Harmon, Charles “Chuck” Hess and Jeff Patterson.  Congratulations gentleman on becoming B.E.C.O.N.
